We just had Victor Gonzalez in town for 5 days from Cuba. I have known and worked with Victor for almost 20 years. He has been the President of the Western Baptist Alliance in Cuba and now heads an evangelistic outreach ministry to youth, which we support, called Go and Tell. They do two outreaches a month outside Havana in the smaller towns. Hundreds come and listen to the Go and Tell band singing about God’s love. This is the third generation to grow up since the Revolution who have been told that there is no God. They then hear the Gospel preached and many people accept Christ every weekend at these events as the young people are hungry for truth and to know God’s love and power in their lives. We are planning a trip in September when two of our other Central American pastors from Nicaragua and Costa Rica will come and preach.
