Dear Citizens of Heaven,
Those of us who have simply surrendered to the love of God and realize more and more each day, that he has breathed life into us and sustains us by His love and spirit know that we are citizens of heaven, belonging there more than here. But the Kingdom of God is now and not fully yet, so we are called to be here bringing and proclaiming the love of God to all.
The prayer of Jesus is that God’s Kingdom may come on earth as it is in heaven. And God has chosen to use us, His children, to bring the love, joy and peace of heaven to earth. He has chosen to give us His Spirit and make us like Jesus, the first born of many sons and daughters. He fills us with His Spirit and the same power that raised him from the dead and calls us to heal the sick and proclaim the Kingdom of God, that God loves all His children and welcomes them back to him and home.
We are to shift, change and enlighten the atmospheres we live in and displace the evil, hate, anger, and bitterness of the world with our love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness and self-control. We displace the atmosphere and circumstances we encounter by pushing back the darkness with the light of God’s love and presence through His Spirit that is in us.
We are called to cleanse the atmosphere of powers, principalities, and rulers of the darkness of the world and replace it with love that is stronger than anything. God’s people have a mandate to move out of the church and declare the love of God and reveal the Kingdom of God.
That is what I love most about the gatherings of God’s people and those seeking Him that we do all over Central America and the world. We gather with people from many tongues, tribes and nations, as Revelation says Heaven will be, and the bond of His Spirit and love is so strong that people can not help but be touched by His Presence and Love. This mystery of God is being and will be accomplished. Revelation 11:15 says “the seventh angel sounded his trumpet and there were loud voices in heaven, which said:
The Kingdom of the world has become the Kingdom of our Lord and of His Messiah, and he will reign for ever and ever.”
We get to participate in the power of His resurrection in our lives, in the earth, and in the Kingdom. This is why Paul says that Christ “has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in Christ” and we have been “included in Christ, marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit.” Paul, unlike the disciples and the other writers, of the New Testament never met Jesus. But he encountered the Resurrected Christ, the commander of the Angel Armies, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords of Revelation 19. He is the Christ who was and is, the Word of God who spoke all things into existence, who is the union of Spirit and matter.
Paul, by his encounter, knows this. For this reason, he writes that “God has raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus; we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works.” Ephesians 2.
