Dear Seekers of God’s Presence,
Last night I brought dinner over to my son, Jared’s house. He and his wife, Molly, like many young families, work long hours and with two kids to juggle, life is always busy. It gives me a chance to see and spend time with Caroline, who is 2 3/4 years old and Charlie, 9 months. Caroline just saw Santa last weekend and when I asked her what she asked Santa to bring her, she said: Play -Doh! And a Muffin! I’m still laughing at “and a Muffin”! Then, Caroline wanted to sing for me a new song she had learned. It was JESUS LOVES ME!

As she belted it out, I remembered learning that song as a young elementary school kid in Sunday school at the Methodist church in Western Springs, IL. I can still see the older woman who was our Sunday school teacher, who always wore dark dresses and had white hair as she played the black upright piano and taught us songs of faith and love such as that. It also made me think of another song that I hope Caroline also learns soon. It is JESUS LOVES THE LITTLE CHILDREN! Jesus loves the little children

That’s the message of A Voice for Children International. Jesus does love all the children of the world and God wants all His children back. That’s the message of Christmas! God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 THAT’S THE MESSAGE. God loves all His children and Jesus the Anointed One put flesh on and walked among us to show the love of God.
