Dear Friends,

I have been reading a lot of Mitchner lately.  I love how he tells of the development of people’s groups and countries with a God view.  He describes an aged man as “eager for the grave”.  We who know the love of Christ and the Father should not be eager for the grave but rather eager for death and the resurrection.  Jesus said that for believers’ death is just a crossing over.  We are body, soul and spirit.   We cross over to a life in the spirit with an imperishable body.  Jesus showed up twice to the disciples in a locked second story room with a new body.  He just passed thru the walls.

My mother said recently to my brother-in-law “I just want to die” We have since been talking about it and also with my mother-in-law who just turned 89.  We should be preparing to cross over and especially as we age, we should be living less in the world and more in the spirit.

Two men in the Bible did not die but were taken up by God.  Enoch walked with God and was not taken.  Elijah was taken up in a whirlwind by an angel in a chariot of fire.  His mentor, Elisha, and the prophets in two towns knew that God was going to take him, as did Elijah himself.

Are you ready or at least getting ready for this journey that is coming?  You will get a new body that works, no more aches, pains and problems.

In the last 5 years, I have lost about 14 friends between 61 and 72 or so.

Part of finishing well is taking care of the body, the soul and the spirit.  The body fades and declines as does the mind but the spirit can continue to grow.  Thats Gods goal is that we continue to grow more fully to be like Christ and our Father, living in love, joy and peace.  Those are felt emotions, and God wants us to continue to Live More Fully as we age and get ready for a higher plane of being.

Here are a few pictures of the kids we are helping with a feeding program and worship time in Cuba.

Those of us devoted to Jesus Christ find our calling within the scope of our relationship with Him where there is great significance, purpose, and destiny.  We’re called to be children of the Heavenly Father; servants of the King of kings, and ambassadors for the Gospel.  And he who calls us is faithful to go before us, behind us, around us-and to work through us.

Blessings,
