Dear Friends,
I have just returned from Penasco, Mexico where we had a couple of official
events for the neighborhood or pueblo called Nueva Esperanza or New Hope. The
salon and kitchen are finished, more or less, so the Center is now functional and we
are beginning regular weekly events.
I brought Giovanni Mora from Costa Rica and Arturo Castro, our Director of
Central America Missions for the week. Giovanni is one of the funniest guys on the
planet and a former youth minister. He brought his little friend Marcos, who you
can see in one of the photos and who the kids loved. We had a small group of people
and neighbors and volunteers on Friday night and a bigger group of people on
Saturday night. There was a lot of sharing and music and all of us pastors shared
words of inspiration and the gospel.

God’s presence was there and the Holy Spirit was moving in people’s lives. Three
parents of kids accepted the Lord into their lives and one young man who has been
volunteering and helping Pastor Manuel. Many of the kids were touched. Two
young boys who I got to know have been coming to the Center quite a bit. They have
no parents and live with their grandmother. They are good young men and eager to
learn and grow and know the ways of God. This is the privilege we have and it is
just a matter of letting people see the love of God that is Christ and then letting the
Holy Spirit work in people’s lives. He opens the heart and the spirit.

People are eager to know the love of God and be accepted, that is what Christ
represents, the love of God and His forgiveness and acceptance.
Please pray for this Center and the team that is working there. May this place be a
great light in the pueblo.

Please remember AVC in your year-end giving, we have more work to do on the
Community Center in Penasco, new churches that are being established in
Nicaragua, the completion of the church in Moshi, Tanzania. We are also getting
ready to send a gift for the large Youth Conference they hold in December in
Tanzania. God is moving and we want to be a part of all He is doing!!!
From our family to yours Happy Thanksgiving!
Blessings, joy and peace,
Cameron
