Dear Friends,
I am just back from Penasco, Mexico and excited that much progress has been made
on the Community Center. The salon or fairly large great room has been enclosed
and is now ready to be painted and finished. Most of this work has been done by
Pastor Manuel himself with occasional help from a few others. The room gives
space for meetings and activities even when it is intolerably hot outside or cold as
well as in rainy and windy weather. It has already been used for meetings and
training of volunteers. It has a kitchen alcove that is now ready for completion. We
purchased a sink and countertop materials on the last trip. It will be great to be able
to have a place to prepare food and refreshments for kids. We also purchased a wall
unit mini-split which will provide cooling and heating to the area. These are pretty
small units which you have seen in Europe and throughout the world, we will
probably need another one for the really hot weather of June thru mid-September.
We are down to finish items. Please pray for this project to be a great light in the
area. I will be back down there in mid-October with Arturo Castro, our director of
Central America Ministry and Giovanni Mora, our associate pastor from Costa Rica
to help kick off the inaugural events with a time of worship and prayer for people
from the community. Thanks for your prayers and support, we could not do what
we do without it.

May God be glorified in all that we do!
