Dear Friends,
I have just returned from a trip to Costa Rica. I spent a lot of time with Giovanni Mora, our associate in Costa Rica. We visited the Community Center in Jaco. Things are going well there. Giovanni’s sister, Helen, and her husband Manuel live at the center and oversee the activities. One day there was a large group of kids and many parents for an event with bible teaching. Then they had a pinata and I go the honor of handling the rope to swing and move the pinata as the kids try to hit it. The next day there was a small group of older kids receiving training in organizational skills for school. The center is in need of two things. The cement floor in the main area needs a covering. It would look much better and be easier to clean. The fence around the property is made of corrugated tin. It is starting to fail and fall over. They would like to put a new fence along the two sides that are on the street with a pre-fab concrete panel design. Giovanni is getting estimates for these two items. I think the floor could be $2,000 for an appropriate concrete coating such as epoxy finish. The fence long and short sides bordering the street could be $4,000 to $5,000. We would like to raise about $7,000 to update the center for these two major needs and a few small other items.

We could not do what we do without your prayers and support. Thank you, people of God, for a heart to care for God’s kids!
Blessings,
Cameron
