AVCi supports projects in two locations in Costa Rica.
We provide funds for a community center in Jaco. The center provides food, shelter and care for more than 150 children every week. The center supports street kids between 5 and 18 years old, who live in shanties along the river outside Jaco. During the holidays the number goes up to 250.
We also support Project Cinco in San Jose. They provide food, education and health care for more than 500 kids in the area. They also run a school uniform program for children in need of basic school uniforms in 14 different locations twice a year. The team manages educational seminars for prevention of human trafficking and provides training in computers to youth and young women in risk.
