Dear Friends,
Our Community Centers are continuing to operate to serve kids and tell of the love of God through Christ to all God’s children to give hope and peace to a difficult and hurting world.
Nicaragua continues to need your prayers as the unrest continues and people are still being imprisoned, harassed, wounded and sometimes killed by the government or paramilitary groups. Darling, the wife of Arturo Castro, our Director of Central America Ministry was supposed to go to Nicaragua in late summer but had to cancel her trip due to safety issues. She is now there and things are going normally. She is Nicaraguan and loves being there with the children but it is still a fragile time. Our Nicaraguan friends have been asking people to sign a United Nations petition to the Security Council to intervene with troops in Nicaragua because they believe that is the only hope. Please be praying!
In Mexico, we have started a new Community Center in Puerto Penasco. We have been paying only a little rent to use a building but the landlord wanted us to make major improvements like putting in windows and A/C without giving us any commitment to use long term. So, after praying we are looking at other locations near to the new Colonia where the 2 Fish Feeding Program we support is located. Please pray for this. Pastor Manuel is also starting a new AVC Community Center in Santa Ana, some 3 hours away. He has lived there with his wife Olga years ago and a group of families has asked him to start a center and they will provide the resources to do so. We are starting that effort and it is going well. He is there about 1 week per month.

“We are finding more children are growing and affirming their faith. We had another baptism of many young people. We want to make a retreat of young people for courtship classes we need to continue advancing and reaching more in the name of Christ.” Darling Castro, Nicaragua

“We recently had a day of the Bible (as kids have been working on learning verses). The children with their flags were a very beautiful act.”

Please keep our kids and pastors in your prayers. Thank you for your support!
Blessings, Cameron
